Intel hat die neuen Coffee Lake Prozessoren für 21. August angekündigt

Am 21. August soll die 8. Intel Core Prozessor Generation (alias Coffee Lake) vorgestellt werden. Intel wird dazu einen Livestream auf Facebook und anbieten.

Die neue Coffee Lake Generation bietet unter anderem erstmals 6-Kerne auf einer Intel Mainstream Plattform. Aufgrund der Konkurrenz durch AMD sah sich Intel gezwungen, die Coffee Lake Prozessoren früher zu veröffentlichen. Ursprünglich waren sie erst für 2018 vorgesehen.

Den Anfangs sollen 4 Prozessoren machen: Core i5-7600K (4 Kerne/4 Threads), Core i5-8600K (6 Kerne/6 Threads), Core i7-7700K (4 Kerne/8 Threads) und Core i7-8700K (6 Kerne/12 Threads), wobei offensichtlich auch neuere Motherboard mit einen Chipsatz der 300er Serie benötigt werden.
